Dr. Long's Visit a Wonderful Event!

In a survey of clergy of all denominations by Baylor University, Dr Long was listed as one of the 12 most effective preachers in the English speaking world, ranking with Billy Graham, James Forbes, Barbara Brown Taylor, and William Willimon.

Dr. Long is the author of over a dozen books including The Witness of Preaching, Second Edition (2005) and Testimony: Talking Ourselves into Being Christian (2004). His commentary on Matthew from the Westminster Bible Companion Series is a must have for this Year A of the Revised Common Lectionary.
